The Tuscola GSA Booster Club is hosting a “Mardi Gras Masquerade” for all LBGTQIA+ students and allies currently attending high school. This will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 6pm-10pm at the Tuscola Community Building (122 W. N. Central Ave. Tuscola, IL 61953). This should be a wonderful opportunity for students to have some fun and make new friends. Anyone interested please see Mrs. Bonnell or Ms. Snodgrass.
April is Autism Awareness month! I know April seems like a while off, but the high school life skills staff and students are ordering t-shirts, and we are inviting everyone to participate! We will wear these shirts every Friday in April to promote acceptance and inclusion of all of our students in the district who have autism. The cost is about $10 per shirt. You can find the order link on Mrs. Graves Google Classroom. All orders must be submitted by Thursday, February 2. If you have any questions or need financial assistance with purchasing a shirt, please see Mrs. Sharp. Thank you so much in advance to everyone who chooses to participate!
Attention freshmen: There are six home boys’ basketball games remaining. We need your help running the concession stand. All the money raised goes toward hosting a great prom, and every time you help out, it's money off of your prom ticket. Sign up for this weekend's games outside of Room 9.
Good luck to the Unity Rockettes Dance team as they compete in IHSA dance sectionals tomorrow in Effingham. If the Rockettes advance, they will participate in the state series next weekend.
The student section theme for tonight is Neon! Bring glow sticks and make the Rocket Center bright.
