If you would like to enter a car or truck into the homecoming parade, please pick up a form in the office. The cost is $5, and you must follow all rules stated on the form. Forms are due by 3 PM on Wednesday, September 28.
Do you have books at home that you don't read any more? If you have any gently used books for grades K-12, you can put them in the box inside the library and they'll be donated to local kids in need of them. The book drive will go from September 11-30. Thank you and see Sophia Stierwalt with any questions.
AP students: if you plan to take the AP Exam in the spring, you must sign up in the guidance office by October 3rd.
Seniors and their parents are invited to attend Financial Aid Night tonight, September 26th at 6pm in the high school auditorium. A college financial aid representative will be here to explain the financial aid process and answer your questions. See Mrs. Decker with any questions.
NHS members there will be a brief meeting in the auditorium at 8 am on Wednesday, September 28th. All members are required to be in attendance. If you cannot make it, you must let Mrs. Decker know before the meeting.
Winners of the homecoming court elections will be notified via email today
Next week, we will be celebrating Homecoming, with lots of things to look forward to! Please join in the fun by dressing up for the days of the week: Pajama Day Monday, Barbecue Dad vs. Soccer Mom Tuesday, Adam Sandler/Sloppy vs. Harry Styles/Glam Wednesday, Class Color War Thursday, and Spirit Day Friday.
Tickets for the homecoming dance will be sold next week in the canteen during lunch. Tickets are $10 for high school students, $5 for all others
The 2022 Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 8th. The doors will open at 6:30 PM, dance from 7 to 9:30 PM, and coronation will be held at 7:30. The dance is only for High School Students, but all may attend the coronation
Student Council will be selling Rocket Pura Vida bracelets in the canteen all next week during lunch. Bracelets are braided maroon, grey, and white and cost $8. Show your school spirit and pick one up!
The girls’ cross country team won the Spartan Classic on Saturday with 5 runners in the top 15 in the 140 runner field. Erica Woodard was the individual champion in a time of 17:12 - the record 3 mile time for Unity Girls Cross Country! Emily Decker was 5th, also very fast in 17:54. Mackenzie Pound was 11th, Olivia Shike 13th, and Cami Reedy 15th. Josie Cler and Reagan Stringer finished 18th and 29th. Congratulations ladies!
The boys’ Cross country team had a great showing at the Spartan Classic on Saturday placing 9th out of 22 teams. Of the 7 runners, 6 ran seasons bests and 5 ran personal bests. Brendan Graven led the team with a 27th place finish and a personal best time of 16:38, which was 33 seconds faster than his previous best. Eli Crowe finished 40th and improved his PR from last week by 1 minute and 22 seconds, running 3 miles in 17:00. The boys will be competing again this Thursday at the Robinson Invitational at 4:30.
The theme for tonight’s Volleyball game is Pajamas and tomorrow night’s theme is Bikers vs Surfers. Come out and support your Unity HS volleyball team!
The Homecoming Bonfire will take place this Sunday, October 2nd, from 6:30-8 pm. Come kickoff Homecoming week with pizza, music, and games!
