Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country team for their Regional Championship on Saturday.
Emily Decker led the Rockets with a 2nd place finish, running the 3 mile course in 17 minutes and 11 seconds. Mackenzie Pound was 3rd with a time of 17:51. Then the Rockets placed all 7 runners in the top 22 with Jocie Cler in 10th, Ashlyn Denney in 13th, Camryn Reedy in 15th, Molly Baxley with a lifetime PR in 20th, and Grace Wherley in 22nd.
The Boys Cross Country team had a strong showing this past weekend at the Regional in Tuscola! Alex Mowrer and Caleb Coy both ran PRs while Ryan Akers ran a season best. The boys run again on Saturday at the IHSA sectional at Lake Land College in Mattoon and look to qualify for the state meet.
For all girls interested in playing basketball, there will be a short mandatory meeting on Thursday after school in Mrs. Wolter's room. Please reach out to Coach Donovan if you have any questions.
We've kicked off our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, so make sure to donate to your fourth hour class so you are in the running to win this year's contest! The fourth hour class that raises the most PER PERSON will win a yummy lunch of your choice of pizza, Raising Cane's, or Jimmy John's! You have until Thursday, November 14 to donate to help feed families in the Unit 7 community. Start off the holiday season by giving to those who need it most!
