Happy Birthday Today: Rami Ramahi

Today’s Events: JH Choral Concert, 7pm

Activity Period: (none)

Students, if you have a library book out still, those were due 5/17 by 3 pm.  Starting today, you will be charged for any outstanding book if you cannot return it.

On Friday, 5/19, students will be able to attend the IHSA State Track meet at Charleston.  We will use the following guidelines:  Prior to 4:00 pm on Thursday, 5/18/23, students must have a parent phone call excusing them to go to the meet.  No notes will be accepted and students will not be allowed to use the office phone to call their parents.  If students do not have a phone call in by the 18th, they simply do not go.  The office will send out a list of students excused to attend to the faculty Friday morning. Students with parent phone calls excusing them to attend the meet, will not need to attend school on Friday.  Prelims on Friday begin at 9:00 am. Each student attending the meet will need to turn in their ticket as a verification of attendance to Mr.Gateley. Students who leave the building without a parent phone call or fail to check in at the meet with an administrator will face disciplinary action. Students excused to attend the state track meet are responsible for the makeup of all work missed.  Failure to follow this procedure will result in zeros for all missed work.  Tickets are $11.00 and you will need to pay for parking.

If you are interested in being a part of show band or show choir next year, please see Ms. Jablonski before the last day of school!

Freshmen, if you will not be here tomorrow after 3rd hour, please return your Chromebook, charger, and case to Mrs. Graves today!

The Lady Rockets secured their spot in Friday's Regional Final by beating ALAH 4-2 last night. Runs didn't come easy until the fourth inning, and that's all the Rockets needed to advance. Reece Sarver started the rally, Sophia Beckett got a base hit, Maeghan Rothe followed that with another base hit. Taylor Drennan was called up to bat with the bases jammed. After a battle of an at bat Taylor won the fight by hitting a grand slam!! Those four runs were all the Rockets needed for the win. Lindy Bates earned the win on the mound striking out 6 in her dominant performance. The ladies take the field tomorrow at 4:30 at Maroa for the Regional final, in hopes of playing on our home turf next week. We would love to see you all there.
