The Lady Rockets improved to 14-5 over the weekend. On Friday night, the Rockets took their talents to Paris High School taking the lead over the Tigers and never looking back for win #13. Sophomore, Sophia Beckett showed no sympathy at the plate going 3-for-3 with a double, knocking in 4 runs, and stealing a base. Junior, Ruby Tarr was right behind her with 2 hits, 2 RBI's and 2 stolen bases. Sophomore, Jenna Adkins doubled with an RBI and stole 3 bases. Ashlyn helped her cause by getting a hit and 2 RBI's of her own. Sophomore, Lauren Haas added 2 hits. Senior, Reece Sarver and Sophomore, Maegan Rothe added a hit and an RBI. Sophomore, Lindy Bates added a hit and 2 stolen bases.
The Rockets are up today against a big conference foe, Bloomington Central Catholic. It would be great to see a lot of students and staff added to our fan base for tonight's game. It should be a good one to come out and watch!
Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: You should have received a ballot from Mrs. Meyer on Friday to vote for next year's class officers. You have until tomorrow at 3 PM to cast your vote.
Color guard tryouts/clinics are this week, April 17 through April 21 from 4-6pm. Assemble in the HS band room. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and be part of a team. You do not have to be in band to join color guard. If you're not sure what color guard is, please stop by the band room and ask Mr. Cardiff any questions. The color guard coach is Ms. Kryslin Sharp. Ms. Sharp was a member of color guard while she went to school here at Unity, and was on the color guard squad at the University of Illinois. Ms. Sharp has a great deal of experience and brings a plethora of knowledge to our color guard squad here at Unity. We need more students to be proactive and join color guard, so please consider joining.
