Seniors, the local Unity Scholarships are now available in the guidance office.  Remember they are due on Wednesday, April 19th at 8:20 am. No exceptions so plan accordingly.

Attention Seniors:

See Google Classroom for details about your Senior Trip to Chicago on May 10th. Sign up in Google Classroom and pay $25 to Mrs. Lindenmeyer or Mrs. Leaman by Friday April 28th.

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Prom is planned and the class of 2023 is excited to host Red Rose Masquerade. Prom will be held at the Regent Ballroom in Savoy on Saturday, April 22 beginning at 7 and lasting until 10:30. Tickets to attend are $40 each. Tickets will be sold during all three lunches starting on Tuesday, April 11. All tickets must be purchased during lunches by April 21- no exceptions. There will be no tickets sold at the door. Unity Seniors, your tickets are free, however, you still need to stop by the ticket sales location in the cafeteria to get your ticket. You must have a ticket to present when arriving to Prom. 

Attention students interested in running for a class officer position next year:  Petitions are available in the office.  They are due today by 3 PM.

The 2023 Post Prom will be held at The University of Illinois Activities and Recreation Center (ARC). Post Prom will be April 22-23 from 11:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Each student attending will need a signed permission form to participate. Forms are available in the school office starting today. There is a $15.00 charge for ALL attendees. Forms and payment must be turned in during lunch hours at the table set up in front of the cafeteria on today, April 13th, Tuesday, April 18th, or Wednesday, April 19th.

An Illinois Wesleyan Representative will be here on April 18th during 3rd hour.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested.

Congratulations to the FFA Ag business team for winning last night's section contest. High individuals include 1st Sophia Stierwalt, 2nd- Olivia Shike, 4th- Raena Stierwalt, 5th- Abby Woolcott, 7th- Paige Brewer, 9th- Avery Watson, and 13th Molly Baxley.

 

Back, back, back, back- GOOOOONNNNNEEEE! was the theme last night as your Lady Rockets hit past the Monticello Sages last night. The Rockets had 23 hits in the game including 5 home runs! Leading the way was Senior, Ashlyn Miller. Ashlyn earned the win on the mound, but she shined in the batter’s box, collecting 6 RBI’s on 3 hits, including 2 home runs, one of those was a GRAND SLAM. Sophomore Lindy Bates helped the offense with 3 hits including 2 HR’s of her own, collecting 4 RBI’s. Senior Reece Sarver added 3 hits, including a HR, and 2 RBI’s. Other offensive highlights include:

- Sophomore, Maegan Rothe- 2 hits, 3 RBI

- Junior, Ruby Tarr & Sophomore, Lauren Haas added 3 hits each

- Sophomore, Sophia Beckett- 2 hits, 1 RBI

- Junior, Reagan Little- sacrifice fly, 1 RBI

- Senior, Abbie Pieczynski, Junior, Taylor Drennan, and Sophomores, Jenna Adkins and Chloey Duitsman all added hits.

The Lady Rockets are now 12-5 overall, 3-1 in the Illini Prairie Conference. The Rockets are back on the road at Paris tonight. Follow us on social media to get updates for tonight and tomorrow’s games.
