For those seniors attending Parkland College next year, their scholarship portal is now open and applications are due today.   Please see Mrs. Decker or Mr. Peterson with any questions.

The Summer Construction Program application is now available and is a free program for any sophomore or junior interested in the building trades. The program will be held at Parkland College from 8am-2pm Monday-Friday June 12th- June 30th.  Students will receive a $400 stipend at the completion of the class.  Please stop by guidance for an application.  The deadline to apply is Friday, April 7th. 

Seniors, the local Unity Scholarships are now available in the guidance office.  Remember they are due on Wednesday, April 19th at 8:20 am. No exceptions so plan accordingly.

Attention Seniors:See Google Classroom for details about your Senior Trip to Chicago on May 10th. Sign up in Google Classroom and pay $25 to Mrs. Lindenmeyer or Mrs. Leaman by Friday April 28th.

There will be an NHS meeting on Tuesday, April 4th at 8am in the auditorium.  Please see Mrs. Decker if you cannot attend.

Your Rocket softball team won the first inning and never looked back in their victory over Dundee-Crown last night. The Rockets scored 10 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings of play. Sophomore, Lindy Bates pitched a gem on the mound earning the win in a no hit, shut out performance. On the offensive side, 8 different players punched out hits. Leading the offense was junior, Ruby Tarr providing 2 hits and 2 RBI. Also lending a hand were sophomore, Jenna Adkins with 2 hits and an RBI, sophomore, Lauren “Olga” Haas with a hit and 2 RBI, sophomore Chloey Duitsman with a hit and an RBI, sophomores, Sophia Beckett and Maegan Rothe and senior Reece Sarver added hits to fuel the offense. Junior, Taylor Drennan walked off the game with the final hit and RBI.  In game 2, the JV Rockets earned their first win in their first game. Sophomore, Ava Fenter earned the win from the mound with Freshman, Korina Finical coming in to close. The Rockets offense was hot with hits coming from multiple players. 

The 2023 Rocket Baseball team stayed perfect on the season with a road win at Olympia.  The road warriors won by a score of 7-2.   In windy conditions, the Rockets were able to plate 7 runs behind 10 hits on the day.  Key contributors at the plate included Tre Hoggard, Easton Cunningham, and Austin Langendorf, who all had two hits apiece, Senior Dylan Moore also contributed an RBI single at the plate. On the mound, Junior Emmerson Bailey came on in relief to toil four innings to earn his first varsity win.  Rocket Baseball returns home to the friendly confines on Saturday, with a 10:00 am game versus the Champaign Centennial Chargers.  Tickets still remain.
